The last month went by very quickly. The high season was getting started, which meant I had more people for my activities. Hearing from the people how much they liked my yoga class or my workouts really made me love this job. I really hope I get to continue giving yoga or zumba classes at home, because it's just so much fun! Also the nights became more fun, we never had to do a lot at night, just Public Relations, but since there were so many nice people, this was not difficult. Only on Fridays we would have our own show. One week a Mr.Kerkyra competition, which was very funny and the other week a music quiz, where I got to do some live singing :).
Before I knew it, it was already my last week.. My last day of working was last Sunday and then my replacement came. The days after I actually wished I was still working, because I really missed my yoga and workouts, plus I did not really have anything else to do.
My first day off I actually spent at the hotel, because it's so nice there. But when our manager saw us at the pool, he told us we weren't allowed there anymore even though the manager of the hotel was fine with it. So on my next free day I decided to take a look around the island, since I hadn't done that yet. I went to Paleokastritsa, it's a very beautiful beach with clear blue water. And when I got out of the bus, some of my colleagues were there as well! We decided to rent a water bike to take a look around. It was definitely my best day off until now, so beautiful.
On my last day we went to Sidari. It's in the north of the island and I had heard that it's also very beautiful, and it was ! There were some cliffs we could jump off of and also clear blue water. A good place to spend my last day. At night I went to the hotel to say goodbye to everyone and afterwards we went bowling with our colleagues from a different hotel. And that's it.
Now I am back home in Holland for just 1 day, but it already feels ike I've been back for weeks. However, I do get to look back on an amazing experience. Even though the job was long hours and it wasn't always fun, I am so glad I made the decision of taking on this adventure. I have learnt so many new things, met so many amazing people, which I hope to see again soon! I wish I didn't had to leave just yet, but now it's time for a new adventure: Amsterdam University College! I hope it can top this one! (It will be difficult though.. ;))
